START ME UP Summer Camps
Entrepreneurship, Creativity & Innovation
At NUI Galway we have created a new and exciting week long camp aimed at Senior Cycle Students.
This camp will run in September/October 2017 (date to be confirmed closer to the event)
This fully funded camp is designed to help Senior Cycle students explore the processes of entrepreneurship guided by experts in this area.
Embedded within the programme are the development of key 21st Century skills such as:
• Collaboration
• Critical analysis skills
• Independent thinking
• Presentation skills
• Digital skills
Student engagement will be workshop style with the entire week building towards a pitching competition for prizes valued at €1000 for the winning team each week.
The camp will run from Monday to Friday (10am to 4pm). The final day will be dedicated to pitching the developed business ideas to an expert panel of judges followed by a presentation ceremony.
This programme has been fully funded by the Higher Education Authority and there are no participation costs associated with this programme.
